キャンディーズが活躍していた時代、ラジカセが普及し始めた。当時のラジカセはオープンリールと比較すると、音質に難は有ったが安価であったため、若年層に好まれた。多くのコンサート会場では、観客がラジカセを持ち込むことが認められていたため、コンサートを録音しながら観ることが可能であった。この傾向は若年層が多かったキャンディーズファンに顕著に見られ、客席の椅子の肘掛部分に、マイクをガムテープ等で固定する者もいた。その痕跡は、キャンディーズ解散後も暫らく残ったという。
